Versus recap.. Awesome!

The opening of Versus was a great success. Despite the rain and heat, we had a full house of graffiti luminaries, as well as fans, and admirers. The work looked amazing, and the zines we brought sold out (we have more in stock at the gallery as of yesterday!). The work is up until the 2nd of July, so be sure to come down and check it out, and grab a zine. UFA® X NuHotel MTV VMA art show.

Last month Urban Folk Art® curated a show at the NU Hotel in conjunction with the MTV Music Video Awards at the Barclay Center. It wasn’t done with MTV, it just opened the same weekend as the MTV VMA’s and was close enough to the Barclay center.UFA® Chose artists who's work had been used in some regard in the music industry at one time or another. The show included Chris CYCLE, KEO, Pete Conlon, Jason Mitchel, and Adam Suerte. All of the artists picked by UFA® Had some tie to Music in some way within their art. It was a great layout. Here are some photos of the joint. It will be up until the hotel finds another show to put up, so check it out while you can, have a cocktail, and a cheese platter, as Jason did 2 nights in a row!
